Moral Panic: Stanley Cohen, panic in the press about the negative impact something has on a section of society. The thing which has an impact on society is called a "folk devil". New Technologies: These are seen as a moral panic as people think it is making people anti-social rather than social. Features such as "snapmap" can put children in danger if they have people who they do not know on their snapchat. Globalisation is the process of international integration arising from the interchange and exchange of products, ideas, politics and, in particular, popular culture.  It is also seen as a way in which international boundairies that once existed are broken down by advent of new technologies. This allows the audience to connect regardless of their geographical locations.
