In the Twitter bio it reads "@replies & tweets with #XFactor may be used on air or online" this will straight away encourage an audience to interact with them, therefore giving them free promotion. Within 24 hours they have tweeted 12 times (and that isn't a day when they air) this is with clips of the show and advertisement for the app which gets the audience excited about the show at the weekend, the audience can also retweet these which promotes this further and may reach a wider audience. While the show is on they retweet fans tweets and tweet clips about things on the show.
The App is widely promoted and talked about on the show to allow the audience to vote and interact withy the show. This app includes voting stations, Photos&Videos of the show, quizzes and live updates. This allows the audience to use the app while watching the programme.
Facebook is also used to promote and interact with the audience as they upload videos and posts throughout the show and leading up to it. Facebook allows the audience to share, react and comment on the posts as well as write their own status's about their thoughts of the show. They also share memes on here to connect with the younger audience and get the audience to share their content.
XFactor have live updates of the show posted on their snapchat, this is lets the audience interact with them on this as well as watch the show. By doing this the audience can ask questions and even interact with contestants.By interacting with their snapchat the audience may even get posted on their snapchat or other social media which encourages the audience to interact.
Instagram is used to again interact with the audience by posting clips about the show and diaries from the contestants. They audience is again encouraged to interact with them by the "@replies/posts with #XFactor may be used on air or online" This can encourage them as they may want to be shown on air. The contestant dairies are used to connect the audience more to the show. Although on Instagram you can only comment and post with the hashtag.
