LO3: Understand how global industries use social media

Why is social media a useful tool for glabal industries when managing a project or campaign:

This is useful as it can reach a wide audience in a short amount of time, this means a lot of people will hear about the project which could lead to more profit. As there is a wide audience which can use social media it means it can be shared around a wider audience.

Social media allows instant messaging and feedback which can make it easy to communicate with the audience and people on the project.

This allows industries connect with other people around the world who may want to contribute to the project.

Also social media is cheap and easy, this means money isn't being spent on this which again could lead to more profit.


Project-Management tools

Go-Plan: This tool allows you to collaberate on projects with collegues, aswell as communcating with collegues this also allows you to communicate with clients.
This includes features such as file management and storage, dashboard for overview of project and task managment (production plan with times and milestones).
The 'Activity stream' allow colegues to communcate what tasks they are doing when.

ProjectTurf: This is a web-based project management tool which allows uploading and storing designs and documents and analyzing project data. This also allows collaberation and file sharing for the team to keep up to date with the progress.
